Founder of La Grotta Del Formaggio

A LIFETIME TRADITION

After high school, Domenico enrolled himself into culinary school, giving him the foundational knowledge required to succeed in the industry. Before he knew it, he was on his way to Italy to continue his studies. After culinary school, he worked at a few restaurants throughout Vancouver but soon returned to his family’s store.

In 2005, Domenico and his father expanded the small Commercial Drive store into a large specialty food wholesaler,Ā  servicing Metro Vancouver and beyond. The business started by supplying high-end hotels and restaurants.As the demand for quality products grew, so did the company, which expanded its network to large and independent retailers. La Grotta Del Formaggio wholesale is now an established distributor, importer, and broker of local and imported culinary products.
